ACS RPL Skills Assessment Pathways

Application types for migration purposes

Temporary Graduate (TG)

The ACS RPL assessment pathways are for candidates who have completed their bachelor’s degree or higher education from Australian Degree. Candidates with these sorts of applications can apply for a subclass 485 visa.

Suitable criteria

It contains a summarized version of the ACS suitability criteria. Requirements you need for Temporary Graduate applications:

  • Only designated occupations that show up on the subclass 485 Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) are pertinent to a Temporary Graduate pathway.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher-level education from Australia with a significance in ICT, closely related to the designated occupation (ANZSCO) to meet the criteria.

Post-Australian Study (PAS)

The Post Australian Study pathway is for candidates that have finished an Australian Bachelor certificate or higher and need a skill assessment for migration purposes. Such candidates require ICT employment or ACS professional year program.

Suitable criteria

It contains a summarized version of the ACS suitability criteria. Requirements you need for a Post Australian Study application:

  • Australian four-year certification or higher with a significance in ICT which is firmly identified with the named occupation (ANZSCO) in addition to one of the accompanying prerequisites for an appropriate skill assessment
  • One year of relevant work experience completed after the fulfillment date of the applicable Australian degree
  • Completion of an ACS Professional Year Program.

Note:

  • The skill level prerequisite date for the Post Australian Study pathway is going to be noted because of the completion date of many Australian degrees. Appropriate work finished after the fulfillment date of the notable Australian degree will be qualified for points under the skilled migration points test.
  • Relevant work experience can be abroad experience or experience in Australia for the Post-Australian study pathway; however, it should be finished after the significant Australian degree.

Skills Assessment (Skills)

This application is applied to assess the tertiary ICT qualifications and employment.

Suitable criteria

It contains a summarized version of the ACS suitability criteria. Requirements you need for Skill Assessment applications:

  • Qualification like AQF Bachelor Degree or Higher with an ICT Major
  • If your degree is from an ICT minor and is said to be the claimed designation, you’ll require five years of applicable work experience completed within the previous ten years or six years of relevant work experience completed from your past working days. (which provides the earliest skill date)
  • If your degree is assessed as having an ICT major but is not related to your claimed designation, you require four years of pertinent work experience from your past working days (earliest skill date)
  • Qualification like to AQF Bachelor Degree or Higher with an ICT Minor
  • If your degree is from an ICT minor and is related to the claimed designation, you will require five years of applicable work experience completed within the previous ten years or six years of relevant work experience completed from your past working days. (which provides the earliest skill date)
  • If your degree is assessed as having an ICT minor but is not related to your claimed designation, you require six years of relevant work experience from your past working days (earliest skill date)
  • Qualifications like AQF Diploma or Vendor Certification
  • If your AQF qualification or vendor certification is from an ICT major and is related to the claimed designation, you will require five years of relevant work experience. It must be completed within the previous ten years or six years of relevant work experience completed from your past working days. (which provides the earliest skill date)
  • If your degree is assessed as having an ICT major but is not related to your claimed designation, you require 6 years of relevant work experience from your past working days (earliest skill date)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

This application pathway is for candidates who have insufficient or no ICT content and no ICT qualifications at all.

Suitable criteria

It contains a summarized version of the ACS suitability criteria. Requirements you need for Recognition of Prior Learning:

  • Non-ICT Qualification comparable to AQF Diploma or Higher
  • If your qualification is from AQF Diploma or higher with insufficient ICT content, you will require six years of relevant work experience completed from your past working days. which provides the earliest skill date)
  • No Tertiary Qualification (work experience)
  • If you do not hold any tertiary qualification, you will require eight years of relevant work experience completed from your past working days. (Which provides the earliest skill date).
  • A detailed description of a career episode with sufficient detail of evidence in applying the claimed ICT knowledge in a working situation.
  • A project performed within the last three years and another project over the previous five years should be listed
    The depth and breadth of the claimed ICT knowledge gained during ICT employment should be recorded.
    Plagiarized works are strictly prohibited.
  • ACS will screen the submitted work for plagiarism, and you have to re-submit the reports with corrections. All cited or summarized material must be referenced. The inability to unveil data for the Project Report that isn’t your own will bring about an inadmissible evaluation.

Note:

  • If your work experience is completed before the completion date of your qualification, the Skill Level necessity Met Date will be resolved on the earliest date that BOTH the pertinent work experience and the criteria are completed.
  • The previous ten year’s requirement period for work experience is determined by the 10 years that go before the submission date of your online skills application.
  • The term “Relevant work experience” signifies work experience, which is firmly related to the claimed occupation (ANZSCO) and performed at an expert ICT level.
  • The ICT Major and Minor evaluation are based on the number of units with adequate ICT content and the number of ICT units that are firmly related to the claimed occupation.
  • Advanced Diploma and Associate Degree share indistinguishable criteria as the Diploma and Vendor Certification
  • Qualifications evaluated as Not Recognized means:
  • The qualification is surveyed as similar to and not precisely AQF Diploma, or
  • The training institution is not perceived by Australian education standards or international equivalent associations.
